Amitabh Bachchan’s most awaited film, Planman Motion Pictures’ The Last Lear, is releasing on September 12. The film is directed by the multiple-award winning Rituparno Ghosh and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Arjun Rampal, Shefali Shah and Divya Dutta.

The release was recently announced and the first trailer can be seen in the theatre when you go for Singh is Kinng. The audience that managed catching its glimpse was awestruck by Bachchan’s unique get up in the film. Says a viewer, “I saw the trailer in the interval of Singh is Kinng. It caught me completely by surprise! Amitabh is looking so smashing in his long white hair and Preity looks gorgeous in a sari. I have never seen her like this before. It looks like an interesting film. I am waiting for it to release!”

Kareena admits, “Saif also met Stallone on the sets and got along like a house on fire.” Ask her if they discussed their tats, and she laughs, “Yes, while Saif has my name on his forearm, Stallone has his wife Jennifer Flavin’s face tattooed on his arm. And the Holly actor told Saif to do the same with my photo on his arm.”

But Bebo put her foot down. She doesn’t want Saif to sport any more proof of his love for her on his body, “I told Saif, ‘No way’. It’s very painful and it’s enough he has my name on his forearm.”

With the war between the two Khans of Bollywood– Salman & SRK is making headlines, it seems some well wishers are already making attempts to cool the tempers. One such name being item girl Rakhi Sawant.

When asked by the media about what she though of the war of the Khans, Rakhi said, “They should ptach up because they are both part of the industry. They both are fierce. One is a tiger the other is a Cheetah, and yet another is a Lion. They are all number one in the industry so today or tomorrow they will be friends, because they are the Khan brothers.”

Though, considered the motor mouth of the industry, Rakhi this time is playing a different role, that of a peace broker.

Salman Khan and Shirish Kunder are living proof of that adage. The actor and the director had a fallout after the release of Jaan-E-Mann. For his next, Kunder approached SRK. But after Shahrukh decided not to do the film, things soured between them as well. But now, after Sallu’s recent problem with King Khan, the old foes have been bonding big-time.

Says a source, “One person who appears to have benefited from the fight between Shahrukh and Salman is Farah Khan’s husband Shirish Kunder. He has become a regular visitor to Galaxy Apartments. He’s been visiting a lot these days and stays there till late night.”

It’s common knowledge that Salman and Shirish weren’t in touch before Katrina’s birthday bash. In fact, Kunder wasn’t even at the party. But after the most talked about jhagda In B-town, things have changed. Word is, that the actor and director might even act together.

Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aditya Pancholi, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey and Pooja Bhatt are some of the celebrities name as witness in music director Gulshan Kumar murder case. On Monday, the prosecution has submitted a list of 205 members.

The list also includes eminent names from the field of art and culture. Gulshan Kumar was shot brutally by some unidentified men way back in 1997 and 18 of 19 culprits were arrested and some are even punished with life time imprisonment. The case was almost closed after the court failed to find any strong evidence. But with the arrest of the 1993 bomb blasts case, Abdul Qayyum Shaikh, the case re-opened.

Akshay Kumar is giving Salman sleepless nights after having delivered the third consecutive hit Singh is Kinng with Katrina. Salman is not known to be fond of Akshay the erstwhile Casanova of the industry and can’t bear Katrina being paired with Akshay repeatedly.

Singh Is Kinng has stormed the box office in its opening week. Adding to this Namastey London and Welcome last year the pair is being put in the same league as Dharmendra-Hema Malini, Amitabh-Rekha and Shahrukh-Kajol. Industry experts believe they are now the most happening pair in Bollywood since Shahrukh Khan and Kajol.

Model-turned super actress Deepika Padukone, who is all set for her second release Bachna Ae Haseeno, is feeling ecstatic after topping the popular Maxim Hot 100 girls’ worldwide list.

“I really didn’t expect it. I’m really excited. People always used to call me either cute or pretty, but no one ever called me sexy. I take it as a compliment,” Deepika said.

“There is nothing wrong in being called sexy. I think the term itself has been misunderstood. People think that a person is sexy only if she is wearing tiny clothes. But for me, being sexy is about being mysterious and having your own personality and certainly has nothing to do with a person’s fashion sense,” she held.

After having delivered two back to back solo hero hits like Vivaah and Jab We Met, Shahid has delivered yet again with Kismat Konnection. Shahid becomes one of the select few top Bollywood heroes to have an opening at the box office. It also takes Shahid Kapoor in a different league with a wide release of prints, since only the superstars of Bollywood can command that clout.

The ‘young superstar’ of Bollywood, Shahid’s proved both his box office clout and his acting prowess with three back to back hits. Trade watchers are already predicting superstardom for Shahid, as they say that the time is not far when Shahid is officially acknowledged as one of the top five stars of Bollywood.
